Inclusive Access (IA) Frequently Asked Questions for Faculty and Instructors

This FAQ is for Faculty/Instructors who wish to offer course materials through Inclusive Access (IA). For questions about eBooks in non-IA courses please contact us. For students visit our Student IA FAQ.

What is Inclusive Access?

Inclusive Access provides students with required digital course materials at a discounted price, with access available before or on the first day of class. Charges are applied directly to students' accounts, and students retain the ability to opt out.

How do I participate?

Contact the Campus Store. Please provide your course code, section, and required course materials. Participation requests should be submitted by the applicable textbook adoption deadline.

What is my role in the process?

Once participation is confirmed, the Campus Store will coordinate setup with the publisher and provide students with information about access, billing, support, and opt-out deadlines.

How are students informed?

Students receive communications about access instructions, pricing, billing, and the opt-out process before the start of the term.

Can students opt out?

Yes. Participation is voluntary. Students may opt out during the published opt-out period.

The Fall 2026 opt out deadline is September 30.

What happens if a student opts out?

The student will lose access to the Inclusive Access materials and may need to purchase course materials separately. The impact on completed assignments or activities varies by publisher platform.

What if I change course materials?

Contact the Campus Store as soon as possible so participation and access arrangements can be reviewed and updated if necessary.

Can optional materials be included?

No. Only required course materials are eligible for Inclusive Access.

Who do I contact for assistance?

Access periods vary by publisher and product. Information about access duration will be provided with the course material details.
